ISLAMABAD: The man behind the ‘35 punctures’ and ‘Gen Kayani’s involvement in election rigging’ stories has been exposed, a local TV reported.
The report said that Dr Aijaz Hussain was the man behind Inqilab March’s script. Dr Aijaz served the Punjab government in its Parha Likha Punjab programme. He was an adviser to then chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
’35 punctures’ refers to rigging allegations in 35 constituencies of the national assembly to bring Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) in government. It is being said that this was drafted by Dr. Aijaz Hussain, claimed the report.
A local TV also reported that the idea of former Army Chief General Kayani’s involvement in election rigging was also developed by the same person.
Dr Tahirul Qadri’s Minhajul Quraan denies any involvement of Dr Aijaz Hussain, although he was part of Qadri’s policy statements and advisory body.
The report also claimed that Hussain played a vital role in Qadri’s meeting with security agencies, while PAT and PTI meeting was also managed by Hussain.
He played a coordinative role in Qadri’s meetings with different influential people abroad, the report claimed.
